Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers to help you plan a smooth journey to Menjangan Bay.

When is the best time to visit?

North-west Bali enjoys a drier, sunnier climate than the south. The dry season (April to October) offers the calmest seas and best diving and snorkelling visibility around Menjangan Island. The green season (November to March) is quieter and lush, with warm waters and occasional short showers.

How do we get to the resort?

Most guests travel by private car from Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar) — roughly a 3.5-hour scenic drive. We coordinate the transfer for you. See our Location page for full details and tips on planning your arrival after a long-haul flight.

Is there Wi-Fi? Can we stay connected?

Yes — complimentary wireless internet is available in the suites and public areas for when you need it. That said, this is a place to slow down: there are no televisions in the rooms, and many guests choose to disconnect entirely.

What should we pack?

Light, breathable clothing, swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, comfortable shoes for trekking, and any personal medication. Evenings by the bay can be breezy, so bring a light layer. Dress at the resort is relaxed.

Do European travellers need a visa?

Most European visitors can obtain a Visa on Arrival or eVisa for tourism, typically valid for 30 days and extendable once. Requirements change, so please check the latest rules with your nearest Indonesian embassy or the official Indonesian immigration website before you travel.

Are there health considerations?

No special vaccinations are required for Bali, but we recommend consulting your doctor or a travel clinic before any long-haul trip. As the resort is in a remote natural setting, we strongly advise comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical care and trip disruption.

Is the resort suitable for families with children?

Yes. We offer Bay View Family Suites and family packages, and children love kayaking the bay, snorkelling, and spotting wildlife in the national park. Please contact us in advance for cots, children’s dining, and age guidance for activities (for example, diving from age 10).

Is it suitable for guests with limited mobility?

The resort sits in natural terrain with garden paths, steps, and some suites raised on stilts or with half-open-air bathrooms. If you or a member of your party has mobility needs, please tell us before booking so we can recommend the most suitable suite and assist with your arrival.

How do we pay, and is a deposit required?

Room rates are quoted in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR); the USD and EUR figures shown on this site are indicative only. A deposit may be required to confirm certain bookings and packages. Our team will confirm accepted payment methods and any deposit when you reserve.

What is your cancellation policy?

With between 30 and 21 days’ written notice, 50% of all cancelled nights is charged; with less than 21 days’ notice, the full amount. No-shows and early departures are not refunded. Because of the remote location and long-haul travel involved, we recommend travel insurance. Full terms are on our Terms & Conditions page.
